Hey, Remember Us?

You know, the #1 seed out west?  The team everyone forgot about when Golden State was getting all of the limelight?

Well the Spurs proved once again that they are the team to beat out West, beating the Warriors for four quarters last night and pulling away with a statement win in Game 5.  They held the Splash Brothers in check, played great team defense, got great contributions from everybody, and hit big shots down the stretch.  The Warriors had no answer for Tony Parker as the Frenchmen surgically dissected them once again.  The savvy veteran Ginobili chipped in with a nice stat line of 10, 5, and 5.  And Timmy Duncan also found his way into the record books with his 143rd double double in the playoffs, second to only Wilt Chamberlain.  The veterans continue to get it done night in and night out and re-established themselves once again as the favorite to represent the Western Conference in The Finals.

This guy still has plenty of faces to make this post-season.

This matchup would have been better in 2002
