Free Agency Frenzy & Summer League in Session

What a week!  After 7 days of free agency the big names started to move over the weekend with DUHWight heading down to Houston, Josh Smith going to the Pistons, Andre Iguodala moving up north to Golden State, Al Jefferson going east to Charlotte, and Tyreke Evans down to the Pelicans.  These moves will considerably shift the balance of power in both conferences and will have a domino effect on the remaining free agents left on the market.

Other notable free agent signings include:

Paul Millsap to Atlanta- will provide solid PF numbers next season alongside Al Horford

Marco Belinelli to San Antonio- will give Spurs another scoring punch outside

Jose Calderon to Dallas- very underrated PG, will be running Mavs offense for the next four years

Earl Clark and Jarret Jack to Cleveland- will both provide solid depth on a steadily improving Cavs team

Kevin Martin to Minnesota-  fits team need for a sharpshooter to spread the floor

Under the radar signings that will pay dividends next year:

Omri Casspi to Houston- can play all 3 gaurd spots, should provide solid bench depth for young Rockets team

Carlos Delfino to Milwaukee- will be team's biggest three point threat next season

Mike Dunlavey to Chicago- will work into the rotation nicely and provide another solid shooter

Carl Landry to Sacramento- should start at PF and will be team's best low post scorer

Dwight Howard Bitch billboard
That about sums it up.

The Orlando summer league kicked off yesterday with five games for those still suffering from NBA Finals withdrawl.  A few stars stood out yesterday with monster games, putting the NBA world on notice.  The Celtics Kelly Olynyk put on a clinic with 25 points and 7 rebounds.  Not to be outdone by Olynyk, #2 pick Victor Oladipo dropped 18 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds in the same game.  These two should both contribute to their respective teams right away next season.  The Sixers Michael Carter-Williams also had a solid game against the Rockets putting up 26 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, and 9 turnovers.  Looks like MCW will be Philly's starting point gaurd on opening night.
